Which version of Excel do I have?

Information about your Excel version


 

Excel 2003

In Excel menu go to the "Help" menu and then click on "About Microsoft Excel". (If you do not see this option in the menu you are probably using Excel 2007 (scroll down to verify)

When you click on "About Microsoft Excel" an information box will pop-up, and your Excel "Version" will be displayed at the top of the box (see below).
 


In this example the version is Excel 2003:
 
 

 
In this example the version is Excel 2002 with service pack (SP) 3 installed:
  • This Excel version will not work with any TJS product.
 
 

 
In this example the version is Excel 2000 with service release (SR) 1 installed:
  • This Excel version will not work with any TJS product.
 


Excel 2007

 

If your Excel menu looks similar to this one, you are using Excel 2007. The menu is now called the "ribbon" by Microsoft.



To find the version information you need:
Click on the Office-logo at the top-left, then click on the "Excel options" button, then choose "Resources" in the left menu and then click on the "About" button.
 

Excel 2010

If your Excel menu has a green File button at the top-left, you are using Excel 2010.

 

 

To find the version information you need:
Click on the green File button. Click on Help. Your Excel information will be displayed on the right side.
