Using Excel's Auto Filter feature to display filtered trade criteria/data.
First, let's assume you have a good amount of data that lends itself to being filtered. Next, most TJS products already have specific columns already programmed to be filtered. If you wish to change this, do the following to reset the filter.
Excel 2007/2010:
- Unprotect the sheet
- In the Toolbar (Ribbon), Go to: Data
- Click on Filter
Excel 2007 Auto-filter toolbar selection

Excel 2002/2003:
- Unprotect the sheet
- From the Data menu, choose Filter, AutoFilter
Then...
Highlight the entire row (or adjacent cells) directly above the first line of trade input (the 'header' section) and go back to: Data, then click Filter (again). Now all 'header' columns will have filter accessibility.
Now, drop-down arrows will now be shown as in the example below

To get back to UnFiltered status, use the dropdown arrows that you used to filter your data, then check the "All" category (for each column that was filtered). Work with the various filters on your own, or keep reading for advanced filtering examples - given for Excel 2007+
