GENERAL FAQ'S

Q: Is this spreadsheet easy to operate?
A: Yes, it really is simple. Start by customizing the built-in "Performance-trackers" in the (upper) section of the sheet to match your individual trading style. Then, record your trades in the (lower) trading-log section. All columns are clearly formatted with clear instructions on exactly what to enter. After a trade has been closed, the Performance-trackers will populate, displaying vital information about your progress in each of the performance categories.

"Read-me" messages are located in strategic locations in case you need additional Instructional Hints & Tips! In case you do manage to get stuck and need additional help... I'm here... Just "chat", "contact" or "email" me!
Q: Do you provide customer service for your products?
A: I actually take great pride in making sure each and every client is completely satisfied. Feel free to view testimonials of happy TJS users from around the world.
Q: Does this program reside on my hard-drive or your server?

A: It's an MS Excel (.xls or .xlsx) file that resides on your own hard-drive, which can be stored on any digital medium and taken 'wherever' you go. You can also use a service like www.DropBox.com (free up to 2GB) to have your TradingSpreadsheet automatically synched between computers each time you update it.

Q: Are Updates (and/or) Upgrades Free?
A: Revision Updates (and backup copies) are always free for the asking. Major Version Upgrades are just a small fee for all prior users. Upgrading is always your choice and should only be done if you believe a newer version is truly worthy of your time and expense.
Q: Does the Product come with resale rights?
A: No - Each purchase is licensed (only) to the individual who purchased it from this website.
Q: What about Refunds?
A: Due to the nature of the product and type of download, I can't accept refunds - unless there are technical issues that cannot be resolved. Please know that I will do everything possible to make sure you are happy and satisfied with your purchase, both now and into the future! SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Q: What version of Excel can I use? (Need to purchase Excel? See links near bottom of Home page!)
A: All Microsoft Excel for Windows versions beyond (and including) MS Excel 2002 will be able to fully utilize the products.

Excel for Mac users: There are plenty of them using the TJS products, and nearly all without issue, however I still must issue this disclaimer: Please purchase at your own risk, as there is no way I can warranty or troubleshoot any issues, as I don't use a Mac or Excel for Mac software.

If you plan to buy, please purchase the (2002 / 2003) version as I have yet to see any Excel for Mac be able to display the advanced formatting that is currently on the (2007 / 2010) version. The rest of the functionality is the same!

If you plan to use any of the following spreadsheet applications: (Open Office, Google, NeoOffice, Numbers), with the TJS products, I would hesitate in doing so as they most likely do not have the functionality needed to use these products as originally intended - Please know, I cannot refund any product purchase that my processor says has been downloaded. So, my advice is to not purchase unless you have, or intend to use Excel.

Q: Can I use my laptop to run the TJS product?

A: Yes, but the smaller the screen (and resolution) the more optimizing you will need to do in order to properly view the sheet as originally intended. Proper use of Excel's "zoom" function is usually all that is needed. If that doesn't allow you to view the product clearly, there are other simple fix-its that are fully explained in the product. There are no instances where you should not be able to use the product.

PRODUCT SPECIFIC FAQ'S

Q: I trade 3-different markets. Why can't I just use 1-product to track all of my trading?

A: Each Market-Module (Trading-Log) is custom tailored to the specific market that you trade in. Each product will display its own P&L figures, Account Capital, Trade-risk, Equity-curve, etc. Also - certain features, formulas, (and/or) Performance-tracking categories will be unique to each product.
Q: What if I trade the same 'Market' from more than (1) broker account, and want to keep all stat's separate. Do I need to make a multiple purchase for the same product?

A: No, You can always track all of your account activity in 1-file. If you would like separate sheets of the same product, there is a short video on the Support page to show you a way to quickly and efficiently "Duplicate" your sheet. This way, you can have "demo", "simulation" or separate "broker" sheets, all in the same file and all tracking whatever you deem important to you.
Q: Can I add additional "Performance-tracking" categories to the trading-log sheet?
A: Additional "Categories" (and/or) additional "Rows" to a Performance-tracking category can be added to your spreadsheet. In both instances, it is recommended that this be modified by the TJS creator as the design structure of the sheet can make this a laborious task. Modification requests can be submitted by email or the Contact form.
Q: Can I purchase any of the product sheets separately, or must I purchase the entire package?
A: The only sheets currently being sold on their own are the Expectancy and Drawdown sheets, which can be purchased here.
Q: Do the products have any specific currency symbol attached to them?
A: No, since traders can be found all around the world, there is no default currency.* This way, any currency will be calculated correctly.

* Exception: The UK Spread Betting product does display the Pound currency symbol in most price fields.
